I did it today, takes about 2hrs, quicker if you're experienced in getting the dash out
you can get 120 ohm 3w resistors on ebay and all you need is three of them. replace the existing resisitor with one of them, and use the other two, wired piggy-back style (in parallel to use the technical term) instead of the zener diode. this gives 60 ohm instead of 56 but makes no real difference
mine mostly stable on 90 dead centre, but also surprising how much the temperature dies go up and down, maybe by 10 degrees?? doesn't get anywhere near "hot" mind you
