What do you mean by " 50/50 Red "
You've just been told not to "use water" and that it goes in "neat"

if you use toyota ready mixed red coolant do NOT mix it with water it goes in neat.
and to tonyn corrosion is due to moisture or acid/fumes attacking exposed steel/alloys , erosion is usually caused by movement of liquid ie a river running through a field or coolant fluid being pumped round an engine.
