I tried that stuff that swells your seals, it blunted my snippers but my hemorrhoids cleared up in a matter of hours, now I can lay a one piece cable without screaming.

I used radweld on my old 2.4 and when I came to remove the radiator the bolts wouldn't budge. Should I fill it with wd40 ?

God that reminds me. Remember that thread when that poor fool posted that he'd put block weld in his oil and his engine had seized?

The final outcome was, I believe, a new engine.

Now if you are on about a certain truck that was in South Wales then that was the one Vince brought down for me when my old 2nd gen blew up while taking gra's truck up for the start of the lexsurf conversion.I have the wheels on that particular truck on my 3rd gen now.I was going to sell a good 2.4 block to the guy but he decided to just sell the truck instead and i got it for a very good price

There's a small removable plate behind the engine sump on the bellhousing. Behind there you'll see the bolts holding the torque converter to the flexplate. Remove each bolt turning the T/C around via the crank pulley bolt to get at each one, then using a long screwdriver or similar, prise the T/C away from the engine after the gearbox is off. there's a certain way it needs to be re-fitted before the engine and gearbox are bolted together too.

I would have thought your garage guy would have known/told you this, is he the same guy that said you need a new torque converter?

Still, it's your money I suppose.

If for any reason you're not convinced of my post, try asking Jeeves!

p.s. And for Fkcus sake use some punctuation!!!

It's different with you George, you're self taught and I/we can tell that you try. It's the people who can, but don't bother that really annoys me.
