Cheers Tony, thank goodness for that I was nearly crying into my cheque book !!!

Hi Rob, I have just ordered some new shocks, the ones on it are fine but I think they have been there for years so i think they have sagged a little so I hope that will lift it a touch.

With the help of the forum I think it will evolve quite nicely, I am staying on top of the maintanance at the moment, tailgate window motor, starter motor, new ball joints and shocks on the front, cv boots as well, so yes mate in time definately. BUT if I get a bee in my bonnet thats a different story.

Good idea though just lift the back up.

                TYhanks

Where I lived in Germany, the local registration prefix was 'SU' and there were cars with the second alpha's "CK'. I did try to get SU-CK 69 for the SJ410 that I had out there, but the killjoy German DVLA wouldn't let me have it.
Fulda, an area some way to the south of us had the car reg prefix 'FU', and yep, there were some running about the place with FU-CK plates.

                    Brilliant !!!

Mine was just luck of draw when DVLA dished it out on import, I live in Northern Ireland and they offered me a free one with three letters and four numbers, a couple of years ago the first three letters were B.I.G they were cool.

Thanks for the upload! Looks good doesnt it!

There is / was a truck around my way with your tyre size. All four were BF Goodrich 325/60/15. Very bulgy tyre, looked great. Apparently they risk popping off when fitted to a 7" rim though.

If you like the American look, I have 15 x 10" wide American Racing Baja rims. You can just about see them in my photo.

Just uploaded more photos kind of before and after. Your rims look fantastic,
counting the pennies as we speak.

That possibility concerned me "the tyres popping off" I found an article about bead lock which is the opposite, i may be wrong and often am but google tyre bead lock and see if you read it differently too me. It can make a big tyre extremely difficult to get off a smaller rim after its been fitted for a while.

I take the kids in the Surf and I would not put them at risk just to achieve the aesthetics of bigger tyres. So please give that a read and let me know I would appreciate it. I will try and find the site and post a link. I think was a drag racing site or something.

                              Cheers Tony.

                                Another person called Tony?
I know nothing about tyres! Would be wasted on me. The general idea is follow the manufacturers guidlines which is nothing less than 8" wide for a 12.5" tyre. Which is why I bought the 10" wide ones (and also for the dish look). I think they would only pop off on a trail though, if they were going to.
                                Cheers,
                                Tony
