rear arb on a lc coil lifted surf

What's involved in replacing my rear arb on my truck? I may fit quick release in the future but for now I want the arb's out of the garden and don't want them in the loft either.

Hope to put the front one back on very soon. Looks like I'll be driving up to yorkshire to see nan. Usually floods up there!

4 bolts for the roll bar, 2 bolts per side for the drop links. Get the droplinks extended if you're feeling all fancypants.

If you're going to fab some, them make them quick release for off roading

Or for now just do the square metal plate with 4 holes in it and drop the upper bracket 2 or 3 inches.

Cant see how I would make them without them rattling about. And even when disconnected, the bar still is attached to the axle so what happens to that during off road?

You only need to disconnect one end. Make the other end so it rotates out of the way when disconnected.

I messed around with ARBs on and off the truck, but found for everyday offroading, removing the front didn't really make much difference, but made the truck horrible on the road (5" lift). Removing the rear had more effect on articulation with little effect on of-road handling. However, in anger I never really noticed much difference.

The upshot was I put the front back on (short wishbones are the main limit to flex on the front, not the ARB) and left the back one off.

Yea, no, but I understand how they work, but wouldnt they "meet" or hit each other when off road if just one end was disconnected?
