As I said Rich. I hope he's OK. I know you've had a lot of experience yourself at this but I think the best thing to take on a hospital visit is a notebook. Keep it by the patients bed and get whoever is there to take notes of what the docs say they are doing and what they say are going to do etc.
Means that you have your own records, that each family member who visits can pick it up and know whats going on and that when a doc breezes in for 5 minutes and reels off a lot of info that you can remember it all afterwards.
Thinking of you all.

Chin up Rich, I know how it is I _really_ do and I know that some relative stranger on a forum trying to impart empathy might not mean a lot, but I sincerly say this, "prepare for the worst and hope for the best"
Good luck mate,
Love

Went in to see dad this afternoon. He is going to have a ct scan to see how the cancer has spread and to see if the pancreas is starting to push onto his heart.
They are keeping him in till next tuesday as they want to make sure he is stable and he is also having a biopsy on Monday. His blood sugars are still all over the place and he is still on a drip as he can't eat anything yet.
Hopefully he will be well enough to come home next Tuesday but at least after 6 hours of being in a coma he came out of it.If the doctor and paramedics never got to him when they did they they say he would never of come out of it.https://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/
