Wolfracer, happy to sell for £60 plus p+p (not sure what that would be) but it is grey.
I don't seem to be able to PM but email me your address at timholmes61@hotmail.com and we'll sort something out if you still want it.
Rustinho, it's wierd you used to live in Borden as I used to live in Newcastle-under-Lyme!! Well Keele University to be precise but spent many a night in the superb bars of newcastle! I use those vets for my animals and go past there everyday on my way to station. I actually live in Bredgar.
Load cover arrived today - quickest mod I've ever fitted! took about 3 seconds......! Looks the part and does the job. My load is well and truely covered. Thanks Tim for sorting it asap. My Tint Film also arrived today, from Bulgaria! Will be fitting that anyway as the film on the back is peeling.
Thats pretty much it as good news goes!
Now for the other part.
My coolant boiled over yesterday, just thought it needed new stat and rad cap, however wouldn't start this morning or turn over and for a horrible few hours i thought i'd seized the engine. After a few extra Amps were given it croaked into life with some "grey" smoke coming out the rear (previously NEVER smoked, more like a petrol fume than diesel), checked coolant and there was pressure building on the expansion tank pipe, and when I took rad cap off there was frothy water, then very frothy water, then proper foam coming out. I blipped the throttle and after a 2second delay a spurt of hot foam shot out.
So, we're thinking head or head gasket, having read around the subject on here.
Talked to a surf owner who said with a bit of gumption andplenty of knuckle cream/bandages, it would be "relatively" easy for me to strip the engine back to the head in order to see damage and have it pressure tested.
I've worked on Ford X-Flows and replaced the gaskets on them in years gone by, so I know the basics, just a little concerned due to no. of pipes etc...
So, is there a manual or write up for the order of taking things off? or is it just a case of, "if it bolts to, or gets in the way of the head, remove it"
Any recco's local to Kidderminster for decent garages or mechanically experienced Surf owners?

Glad the load cover arrived safely and you're happy with it. Sorry to hear about the head problem you've now got. Wish I could help but I don't know what I'm talking about with things that technical!

So what you got Rob?
I see a white gen 3 modded and a blue lifted, modded gen 2 quite regularly around kiddy town, and a handful of others from time to time.. Parked next to a standard black 4 runner in Sainsburys the other week. Mine looked massive, untill I walked past a lifted blue gen 2 with 33's. Time to get that lift sorted I thought!
Oh and there's this matt black one I see, trawling the aisles of B&Q from time to time!
Mine...

AH! Indeed. Followed you back from Wolverhampton/449 back to kiddy a couple of months ago, wondering what it was. Does look vaguely surf like from a distance.
You popping over tomorrow?
