Okay, will get the birmingham screwdriver out tomorrow then.... Compared it to another local surf this afternoon and the barrel is actually stuck out further than it should, so probably fubar'd. Will let you know how i get on!

i had the same on a truck recently and i had to break the chrome lock part off.Just be carefull though if you go using a hammer on it as you can bend the stud that the lock is attched to.You can give it a hard hit but just not to hard

        For future surfers...
Sprayed the lock with WD40, no luck in moving the barrel in or out, so gave it a "light" tap with a hammer and low and behold it started moving in, 2 taps later, it was in the proper position. I tried the key and the lock fell off! The tumblers which hold it in were completely fubar'd and I don't think it was my hammer that had caused it - maybe a previous theft attempt in its previous life??
Anyway its off and thread not damaged so looking for a replacement lock now, and still after a load cover...

If you want a cheaper option buy yourself some dark window tint from a fleabay seller. If you're lucky you might be able to get more than enough for 99p if you can find a local seller. Even if there isn't a local seller a tenner should do it. It's not that difficult to fit it yourself and it'll do the same job for much less wonga...

That combined with the dog guard (Argos sale, £10) keeps the boot seperated from the rest of the truck, stops people outside from seeing in too easily and has the added bonus of helping to keep the truck slightly cooler in the sunshine (not that we seem to be getting much of that lately...!)

I have a load cover that I don't need. i just put the dog in the back and he doesn't like being covered!

What are you willing to pay for it?

Stormforce, what would you normally charge for these?

                      Yoohoo! Hello Sittingbourne!

I used to live on Borden Lane right next to the vets.

Of the top of my head £60 sounds reasonable, but I'm no expert....yet!
Let me know here or pm me, but deffo need one.

@ Stormforce, thanks, will deffo have a sparewheel lock from you if you can source one.

@ Rustinho, good , already got dark sides, but the back is a lot lighter so lets in a lot of light, will have a look at ebay for some darker stuff. Good idea with the dog guard as sometimes I carry stuff that comes over the seat height...never really thought about it as an option as I don't have a dog....
