further to my thread about an insurance quote for my surf of 76,538 quid, i went onto compare the meerkat and go compare and got some ok quotes,,,,,,,,
apparantly,,,,,,

but then call them up to confirm details of vehicle and me and up it goes by 150 to 200quid over the original quote,

just had adrian flux give quote on internet for toyota surf but can not typre in auto and deisel,

when the girl speaks to me ,,oh shock horror its an import and its derv and its automatic,, i am afraid that makes it 170 pounds more ,,

so another hour wasted ,,i think we will all have surprise at renewal time

What the hell is wrong with Adrian Flux recently??!!

Had my renewal quote through and it was almost 100 quid more than last year, (256 tpft) So I phone around and get it down to 189 Fully comp through Frank pickles)
I forward this info to Flux as they " Guarantee to beat any quote!" and they came back with 213 so I said if you can beat or equal the Frank Pickles quote I'll stay with yourselves, but they went quiet on me and let my insurance lapse before coming back with the same 256 quote!!

My mate recently bought a 3.0 Surf, and I told him about Adrian Flux as they know all about surfs, but when he phoned them they kept trying to tell him he had a Landcruiser?!

Are all the regular phone operators on holiday or something?????

It ain't just Flux Vince mate, the whole fcuking country's like it....
Telephone, Internet, Gas, Water, Electricity, Council's, MP's (heads up there rs) "Dedication to duty" they don't know the meaning of the word unless it's got ££££££ or $$$$$ signs !!

just been talking to the girl (45ish) next door, pays AA monthly over 10 months, 5 year NCB, car presently off the road 1600 CLIO, 2 month back before her timing belt snapped at 36000 she was paying 36 quid, 360 for the year, she rang up to get reinsured yesterday and was told its now 46, wish I could get a full third pay rise every year.

Financial services just take the pi$$ and I don't believe for one minute its down to uninsured drivers, theft or accident, government, cops and these companies are recouping the national debt at our expense as usual. This country is $hit and getting worse by the second. H

try sky insurence they are members on here, mine was 245 fully comp for me and the wife, flux were miles out at nearly 600.

The company that I have used for the past 5 years increased my insurance by nealry £100 although I have 12 years or more years claim free. As much as i detested it I eventually went through Swindels who knocked nealry £130 off the quote from the original insurance company. Cost me £230 for the year.

but seriously i look at quotes others are getting and i have tried the same places ,and my quotes are crazy,,i am 56 , 12 years no claims no speeding tickets , no accidents so i must be a good risk,,,i think the insureres have a tobola machine and if ur lucks in then you get good quote

Tried Sureterm Direct? Mine's just over 200 fully comp. Only 3 yrs NCD and 1 SP30.
