Fox hunting was over hyped vote pandering, its nothing but a few dogs eating a fox, and that didn't happen much either. Foxes weren't stabbed and left to to be teased, once the dogs get the fox (if ever), its over in seconds.

Had no problem with it being banned, but wasn't really worth hassle.

Our lab caught a fox last week, she killed it, and ate it. Was that wrong? We lost 10 chickens and all our chicks to fox and rats this year. Nature is cruel, we don't need to be.

A shot fox will die slowely in agony if it isn't an outright kill, a fox caught by dogs will not live longer than a few seconds.

Personally I prefer drag hunting, much for fun and more relaxed.

Bull fighting serves no purpose but entertainment, at least fox hunting was a way of helping farmers out with a pest, albeit a very inefficiant way. There is no way the two can be compared.

My gripe with foxhunting wasn't the fact foxy gets killed occasionally, more the attitude of the hunt themselves.

Living near the Herefordshire / Worcestershire border, hunting was big news round here, so there were plenty of stories word of mouth and in the media about the hunt going pretty much wherever they fancied, ie through peoples gardens, wrecking hedges etc, and the aggressive attitude of the hunt followers to the general public in their way. The attitude was from some that they 'owned' the countryside.

Imagine how the press would react to green laners if they behaved with the same 'couldn't give a sh1t' attitude.

I'm sure there's idiots in all pastimes, but being involved in a minority sport (just like green laning) one has to appear whiter than white in the eyes of the public at large. The Worcester / Herefordshire hunts appeared not to take heed of that.

LOL true, hard to argue with that as well.

As the sole offroader in a bunch of snooty landowners when drag hunting, we have some 'interesting' discusions once the booze gets flowing.
