  • Naughty me

On my way back to work this afternoon, a spiky haired, orange faced bloke in a black soft top Boxter (with a similarly tango coloured bird in the passenger seat) followed me a about 6" off my bumper for about a mile through the built up part of Malvern - soooo, I carried on past the entrance to work, towards the nat speed limit out of town...

Stayed in 2nd, and when I saw the nose of the Porsche pop out into my drivers side door mirror, I buried the throttle.

Cue one red faced Porker driver

You bought the wrong car! LOOOOOOOOOOSERRRRRR!!!!!!

                    Nice work
I used to have an '88 galant VR4 that was good for that. It looked like a standard galant but mine had 350hp ish(the previous owner tweaked it a bit they were 237 stock) and 4wd it used to embarass evos, wrxs, the occasional skyline and pretty much anything else that p####d me off.

I would usually condone this type of behaviour but it was deserved in this case.
If its not broke don't fix it.

It is standard. The import version comes with 270 ish BHP.

I wouldn't normally bother, and as far as the Saxo / Corsa boys go, well 'let the baby have his bottle' <edit> (This means 'I let them have their moment and just smile as they redline it going past') as they say, but this guy looked like such an arrogant cnut out to impress his bird - well, sometimes you've just got to.

                          <edit> Its a ST205 import.

I done exactly the same thing!

I had a mk4 escort rs2000 150bhp, to be honest she looked like a bag of shit looked more like a LX model which had been done up, badly!!, but with an induction kit and straight thru exhaust she sounded the part. Had some #### in his corsa or saxo or what ever chaved up motor it was think his motor was going to faster than mine, most people thought by looking at it, it was either a 1.4 or 1.6 been done up, how wrong they where, that car was feckin quick for an old escort, and boy did i love driving it and racing others who thought it was a bag of poo!! Sadly, she had to go, the body work was seriously rotten (good ol fords!!) and i sold it to a breaker for £500, i only paid £800 for it and had a years motoring of it , bonus!!

I had a renalt 19 turbo derv and that went like stink, untill the timming belt let go. I remember all the corsa-chav-tastic ###'s it left behind on hills, thing did 130 mph in 4th gear, I think it had a fault because of this and wasn't that supprised when it let go.
