Does the removal of all the low down weight affect stability then ?

Would it help if you put more weight on the roof to compensate ?

Life is too important to take seriously !

Having a little dig are we?

I wonder how flippant you'd be if one of the 11 men who died last year here in the UK as a direct result of being exposed to refrigerants, was a friend?

Strikes me that spending a mere £30 to have the gases removed legally is a small price to pay, considering the risk involved.

But hey, what do I know, right?

An Aircon guy can remove the gas from the system. If your A/C dosn't work there is a good chance there is no significant gas left in there anyway, take of the valve caps from near the A/C compressor and see if there is any pressure on the valve, its like a big tyre valve.

If nothing comes out when you press something in the valve, just go ahead and take it apart and bin it all.

If there is gas in there then morally you need to get it removed by someone who can dispose of it properly (ie, charge you money!) lol

I've not got spare any here, I'll only get them from Roughtrax, so you might as well go direct to them.

Nothing to do with moral obligations. It is illegal to vent refrigerants to the atmosphere. They must be removed and disposed of correctly.

Thats kinda what I ment....but its fun to tease the legal pedants.

Personally, Morally right means much more to me than legally right anyway.
