Do you have an idea how much your breaker would charge for the switch? To be honest the whole thing looks so dodgy I would not be surprised if the switch needed replacing too.
I'm not sure, but it won't be too expensive, will depend on postage.Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

The part of the switch with the electrical contacts in is a seperate item attached to the base of the barrel housing. It's held on by a screw at the housing end and can be disconnected from the wiring loom via a black multiplug under the steering column .
It's this wiring/contacts part you'll need. It's a plug 'n' play part.

Andy (Albannach) take the cowl off and then put the key in the ignition. If you look under the barrel you will see a small pin to press in with a nail or the like.I think you may have to turn the key and the barrel will just come out.Once the cowl is off it is litterally a 30 second jobLast edited by stormforce; 19 March 2010, 09:05.https://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/

Thanks for all the advice, got the barrel sorted, I think. I have an other problem now.
I have changed the starter contacts and put the starter back on. Now when I turn the key (er... screwdriver) in the ignition I get a sharp click, but nothing else. It seems the starter dosnt engage, it only clicks but there is no turning.
I am pretty sure I did a good job putting everything back as it was before.
Any ideas what this oculd be???
