Its a great forum, try to ignore the odd, moaning, pedantic, cynical old whinger or the odd wanna-be hard man proclaiming just how tough they are.... Their just part n parcel of forum life i suppose, its only banter.
The majority of people on here are sound as a pound!

The reason andy has gone is simple. He doesn't really like to see threads with titles like " I'm going to kill you c**t" as a title either, especially where my 9 year old son can see it...and yes this is a forum with no minimum age, so some self control is required. boo hoo mate. so your son "may" have seen my thread title?? my bro may be getting seriously hurt! which do you think is worse?? so sue me if i dont have any self control at them moment. which i do by the way. self control is irrelevant to my thread title.

As is posting inflammatory comments to new users.

The lovely boyo is a stalwart of this forum, and is highly regarded by many
including me.
i dont dislike the guy at all. i enjoy his posts. i felt there was no need to bring it up especuially AFTER i had said "sorry mate i was only kiding"
His withdrawl from participation on this forum is a crying shame,,but unfortunately seems the norm whilst this actioning happens.

I don't subscribe to anyone having to put up with anothers action because
" that's how they are ". The few years I have been on here, the p1ss has been well and truly taken...out of me,as I have of others... first of all his name. then he asks if a feild is off road and then he plays up Boyo leaving (he hasnt actually left anyway! he was exagerating ffs!) and saying he is going to do the same so now all the tw@ts are going to gang up on me and blame me and i can pretty much imagine that ill soon get the blame for the entire forum going down the pan!
i know who i am and what i mean. i would never say boo to a ghost. none of you have met me so none of you can judge me!
i have more friends than enemys on here so i wont lose any sleep over TWO people looking to pick arguments and blame other people!

If you don't have the social skills to stop writing stuff you wouldn't say to someone in the real world....

If you can't see that posting inflamatory and offensive stuff is wrong, and I regard a thread title with cursing in it wrong... Then take a good look at yourself

Comes here gets called a troll and accused of calling his Surf a Jeep.

On the first point joke or not you do not know this guy and nor he you, there was no need to call him a troll.
People need to remember that for those of you that know each other banter and mickey taking between yourselves can be done. You know each other well enough of to know how its its meant.
To be like that to a new member who does't know you is damn right rude and out of order.

As for the second point I do not see a post where he refers to his Surf as a jeep. A quick assumption on ones part to jump in before the guy has got his feet under the table and become accustomed to people and there sense of humour on here.

Well this is certainly different from any other forum I've ever been on!

Goodcat, I don't take offense easily, so petty comments like that don't cut it. But, looking back at your past few weeks' posts, you weren't joking, you accused me of trolling within a few hours of getting here. That's not good at all.

My username, unless it's abusive, is nothing to do with anyone bar me and the site administrators (and they passed it). I call my Jeeps, Jeep and my Surf a Surf, I don't see any issue there. SO why was it brought up?

The last point I want to make is that the (now closed) moderators thread threatening to ban folk is a bit off putting? Why would I want to pay any fees only to be banned at a later for disagreeing with someone?

It is a pity. I've gained a lot of information from here. The search function isn't that great, but a Google site search works very well (there should be one on here). I felt I'd be able to bring something to this forum. I've not got a lot of experience with Surfs, but I do have over 30 years experience in the restoration of older off road vehicles.

It's no huge loss to you all, but I don't think I'll be back. Sorry.
