Glow plugs not heating

Probably a main power fuse of some sort. What colour are the wires either side of it?

The wires either side of this one are black, the alarm box has a separate red power line going to it from the white cable that comes from the ignition (permanant live), this however I'm not sure on, it disappears in the loom at the back behind where the kick panel fuse box is and i can't see what colour wire it's joins to (to many other wire in the way), the other end of it seems to go to the red and black wire of the ignition (I think this is the ignition on wire).
This seems to be just as much of a mess of wires as the stereo was when I replaced that (all sorts of colours that didn't match any books or other diagrams for the 3rd gen), i managed to twig on to what the guy had done there but with this, I'm at a loss.

Well this is what I thought intially, but the it's printed more as a letter than a number i.e. 90 degree edges "E" as opposed to rounded edges "3" I've not seen fuses with numbers printed like this so assumed it to be a letter.

OMG, the surf is only 20ft away from my living room window and I can't see it due to so much rain, would be suprised if there's not some major flooding soon.

Ok, here's a couple of pics (hope they come out ok), it's the one's that are approximately twice the size of the little blade fuses you find behind the kick panel and the main box in the engine bay

That's a 3A fuse. If that's larger than the others, do they use the miniature blade fuses in the fuseboxes on the gay gen? That definitely looks like a standard size blade fuse to me.

Many thanks to all who posted, surf's up and running plus I've now found (having gone through all the electrics behind the kick panel) that I have and immobilised engine + the alarm goes off whereas before it would only immobilise the engine and the central locking works from the fob, I had neither of these before and didn't even realise when i bought my surf that it had central locking (via the alarm, no black box under the seat). The actual glow plug problem itself turned out to be a wire that must have been pinched or something as there were some exposed wire from it and it looks as though it touched the bodywork and shorted (also attached to the alarm).
It seems as though who ever installed it made some iffy connections as well like spade connectors not gripping properly etc so went through the whole lot making good as I went. The earth that i said came adrift was part of the central locking system and looking back at it now was probably never connected in the first place so didn't have any bearing on the plugs, you live and learn.
Again thanks to everyone that helped, especially Tintin with his offer, just needed to look at it with my logic head on lol.
