The only time I've had this is after deep water on Strata - drying the alternator out sorted it - and it did that on its own.

So if it was wet on the road, maybe a good dose of WD40 will sort it. As Vince said, quick check of the belts too - its an easy adjustment (if you've removed your aircon!).

You might want to check all earth straps for good contact - you'd be surprised what funny little faults they can give you.
