you know that was a view shared by the tr register one of the big clubs for TR's back in the mid to late 80's but even they embrace it these days

to much plastic not enough power wedge shaped and designed by a man who pionered a watering can.........
but they sold more TR7's than any other TR ( The Yanks loved em )...
but then they turned it into a convertable V8ted it.......and then stoped production and made the Triumph Aclaim (honda) and that just made british leyland keel over.......

as for the TR8 there were apparently 22 ish made for this country the states got a whole bunch of them quite a few have found there way back (most are TR7 V8s)(coverted 7's) they also made a sprint version with a 16 valve dolomite engine
