Then I turned 20 started working in a garage and things got really out of hand!!

My first car was an austin 1100 that i had to pump up the suspension every couple of weeks.My dad replaced two engines in that thing and all the fuel lines.
Then again it did only cost me £50 .
I only ever bought one more car after that before i got company cars.
Talbot horizon ( what a load of ****) had so many problems with that that i was glad when i got a company car soon after.

Nobody mentioned a Ford Anglia the one with the cut back rear window, had rally seat covers and a blind for the radiator so it warmed up quickly woohoo.

Slowest Fiat 500 didn't get to 60
Fatest Nissan Pulsar GTiR 274bhp in a Sunny with permanent 4wd 0-60 around 5.5 secs.

About 35 other cars upto now, even had a talking Maestro, just waiting for a new Mini Cooper ! Probably park it in the back of the Surf.

Mine was a rust holed Fiat 127 called Dobbin by the kids coz it was donkey. I bought it for £50 and sold it for £55 4 months later. I then got a VX490 2300 SE and felt like I owned the road in that beast and had to trade that in for an old Hillman Hunter as it cost me an arm an a leg to run....oh the good 'ol days.

hahaha, my first car was also a rust holed Fiat 127 - but I can't print the name I called it here. It literally fell apart over the next 6 months until I traded it for an MG Metro.

First was a W reg ( old W reg ) Mini 1000 blew the engine within 6 months so got it replaced with an allegro 1300 engine .. that thing flew !

Ford Prefect 107E (100E that was the test bed for the "new" Anglia 105E engine. Top speed unknown as the speedo needle went past 80 then jammed up against the oil warning light. Also had a Delaney Galley heater that meant scaping the ice off the inside of the windscreen!)
