It just all sounds too much like the beginnings of Nazi Germany for me to feel comfortable with what the BNP have as their policies.
Its really easy to look at Germany in the early part of the last century as being 'a long time ago' or significantly different to the modern world but in reality Germany was a modern western country with a populace made up of people not very far removed from us now.
It has always seemed so odd that so recently, so many were able to slowly move towards a time when they either championed or at least tolerated a system that demonised and removed the rights of any that weren't indigenous.
This wasnt immediate but took time and 'little steps' of giving a population unhappy with their economic lot a 'fall guy' in the jews (and later pretty much everyone else) who they could point the finger at and blame for the situation they were in.
Once this became more and more acceptable it was just a matter of time before kids were spitting in the faces of other kids they had been playing happily with until recent times. We know how that turned out.
If anyone has a good method of somehow rounding up all those who are not genuinely 'English' (what criteria? saxon roots? no other race in the last 5 generations of their family tree? white?) then i would love to hear it. Maybe a genetic test would be a good go but would no doubt be hilarious in terms of seeing those who 'want Johnny foreigner out' when their gene pool comes back as murky as everyone elses. As has been said already its easy and natural to want someone to blame when things go wrong but its surely not as simple as a catch-all solution of 'foreigners out! then everything will be great!' that has never worked before so why should it now?
I'm not saying things couldn't be managed better by another party or indeed some other form of governance than we have right now but a group of people, many of which until recently, were smashing up shops owned by non-white people and all the other things that many of us (at least those over the age of 30) should remember pretty well, aren't the ones that I would favour.
Having said all that, those that try and fight for the BNP to not being able to run in a democracy are laughable in their inability to see the hipocrisy of what they are fighting for.Comment

As a South African who lived in apartheid South Africa under a nationalist government I am not too sure why every one is getting so fired up about a flash in the pan win for the BNP when another extremist religious group is calling for non-believers to be beheaded and for the EU to move towards their religion and they were able to do this in London waving placards to the effect. They are far more dangerous than any BNP or similar party.
Having said that as an immigrant of British descent I will probably get kicked out if BNP got into power anyway!
