sorry for this chaps but everyone is entitled to their opinion,and mine is .im all for the bnp and their policies,this country needs a fecking good shake up,labour,etc,have been in power and done nothing for this country,i say its about time someone else stepped in and took the country by the balls.give em a chance,if it dont work then wheres the problem ,all the other parties have already ####ed the country up,so why shouldnt the bnp be given the chance to see if they can change things and try to put things right and uncover some of the hidden truths that labour have been covering up,thats why there is so much controversy,the other parties are shitting bricks because the truth will eventually be unearthed.thats my opinion.

The media attention surrounding the MEP and local seats is getting a bit tiresome, especially considering less people voted for the BNP than in 2004 anyway, but it's very easy to see the cause of the outrage.

Personally I am ashamed that the North West will be represented in Europe by a convicted holocaust denier, who played on peoples' fears and anxieties and specifically targeted regions that have more financial hardship in order to get there.

It seems to me a lot of people voting that way have short memories as to what the BNP were like before they glossed up their image, or as MattF says, people who are just unwilling to accept that the majority of issues this country faces are home grown.

There may be a huge amount of hypocrisy in the attitudes of a lot of anti BNP groups but I am glad in a way to see such strong negative reaction to extreme far right views.

....the fact that they have landed their first seats in parliment go to show how pi$$ed off the public are with the main partys, a vote for the BNP (in most cases) was a protest vote against the con's labs' and lib dems, also the failure by present and past governments to efectifly deal with the illeagle imigrant problem etc has turned many people into seeing the BNP as a party that will do summat about it,
hopefully these seats they gained will put the wind up the main partys and make em improve themselves, stop fiddleing, stop argueing, and work together to make our country better.

Think you hit the nail on the head there. Don't agree with too much the BNP have to say but the fact they got so many votes surely must make the 'real' political parties see what the undercurrent of public feeling actually is?

Last time people voted for some guy who was gonna kick out johnny foreigner and give jobs back to the indiginous population, the by-product was millions of dead jews, and a 5 year war.

The simple fact is, this countrys woes are largely DUE TO the indiginous population being lazy tw@ts with a 'world owes me' attitude and a government happy to pander to their whim as a mass of voters. It has very little to do with foreigners.

As far as there being a terrorist on every corner waiting to blow up my kids, thats just ######## fed to us by a government who wants us to be scared as if we are scared of foreigners, we'll accept without question, ID cards, CCTV on every corner, faceless people listening to our telephone calls etc etc.

We've been fed a bunch of lies, and the BNP are profiting from it.

Yup. If people in this country didn't turn their noses up at jobs because they think the position is 'beneath them' or expect silly amounts of pay, there would be no vacant jobs for the 'evil immigrants' to keep taking.

I still say this recession crap is a good thing, in a way, for that very reason. It seems to have given quite a few people a good clout with the reality stick.
