I think this recession is manufactured. It's designed to align the world's 3 major courencies, the Pound, the Euro and the Dollar. The euro/pound is almost done, once that's out of the way, the euro/dollar will be next.

I can always remember one of my old tutors saying that there is no such thing as a 'recession', for that very reason you mention above. Hype and rumour creates the scenario, but at no time is there ever actually any less in existence. It's merely that all of the hype and such makes the flow slow down.
