Seems to vary from one company to another, mine are complete bar stewards and will not accept any mods at all so thats my fun stuffed for a year!!!!
If it aint broke...........give it some more abuse!!!!!!!!

My advice for what its worth is don't tell them you did anything to the car.
Car insurance is a racket anyway, its a lottery when you have an accident and unless its police involvement it usually comes out 50/50.

I was reversed into whilst I was stationary in my works van by a postal van, he accepted liability. It came out 50/50.

My last 4x4 was a V8 Disco, I converted it to LPG and the insurance company said 'we don't really need to know that'. If a total fuel conversion doesn't bother them, installing two 40 litre pressurised tanks then does it matter about a nudge bar or fat tyres.

My insurance company is Direct Line- Im 37, driving since 1990 with full no claims, 187 a year for the surf. Hopefully this will not change.

Don't lie, just don't tell the truth and answer only what they ask.

Up to you. I do most of my driving on unmarked country roads and have been reliably informed that any non-police accident will be 50/50 in most cases due to lack of centre lines. There will be exceptions, but if the incident is big, then whether you have tinted windows or not will probably not bother you.
