      Phoenix is great!

I worked in Yuma (South West corner of AZ) a few times. Hotter than hell! Try 48C for size! Phoenix is only a few degrees cooler in July / August.

we'll be there roughly the same time as last year. i cant really stand 48C. i honestly dont know how people without air conditioning survive and reproduce... the casino / hotels in vegas are probably cooler than my house right now though.

this is all providing that swine flu doesnt take over the world and turn people into flesh eating zombies like it has been doing.

I was working outside, in desert, with no cover for a lot of the time for about a month. I was drinking about 2 litres of water an hour, and not peeing! I had the aircon in the hotel room set to about 25C after a few days. Anything less felt freezing cold. Its a different way of life there. Dont think I could cope with living there though.

in contrast i have always found alaska or canada or even working in the north pole very interesting. iimage it could get boring quickly. but also imagine how peacful and quiet it would be. nothing but the sound of the ground under your feet, and the sight of the aurora borealis lighting up the sky and the white ground reflecting it back.
