I have just been looking now at weights and figures and that, and it seems the trailor combined with the load was slightly higher than vans (Gross Train Weight) Think thats the braking capacity for the van of the whole lot, van/trailor/load ...

When did they invent this law, and how was i supposed to know ? i cud of got in sh** for that ?

AAAAAAAAActually, You can tow up to a Gross combined weight of 3.5tonne. Although the trailer weight cannot exceed the advised towing capacity of the towing vehicle, so a surf could prob tow 1.5 tonne no prob and take u up to the towing weight of 3.5t, say u were driving an astra or summit u would only be allowed to tow about 750kg or round about that. Your not alowwed to tow a car transporter/caravan/horse box and other things. I have called a lot off places asking about the legalities and doing the test and all have said the same to me that i have just posted here. Basically DO THE TEST, I know i will be. Bleeding goverment again Fecking things up for everyone, why couldnt tey make it simple and make it an outright ban on towing trailers. Hate the Goverment
