  • Stein or anyone else who knows

After chopping half of the loom out of my truck I now need to know which is the ignition trigger wire to run to the starter motor. Also do I have to somehow tell the truck it is in park now the gearbox has been removed.
Which wire runs to the oil pressure switch? And which wire to the water temp switch.
    Cheers guys.
    Steve.

Fitting the engine and box is easy. Locating all the ancillarys and then making them fit is very difficult. For example I eventually found the right starter motor and when I went to fit it the solenoid fould on the top wishbone (you did warn me Mark) so I spent all day yesterday scolloping bits off the wishbone and re drilling engine mounts to raise the motor 10mm. But its not far off completion now.
Oh and its a Rover SD1.

bwahahaha,i wont say i told you so,but i did tell you so..first of all all the senders from the original wiring work on six volts so none of them are any good.so you will have to trace them back and re wire like i did.and hack off the old loom.i fitted a bush button start on mine so,i re wired that system too.
