I phoned Toyota about 3 weeks ago about my recall. Got passed from pillar to post (very politely) but got there in the end. Local dealership contacted me last Tuesday to book in the Surf while the letter from Toyota arrived the next day.
Surf should have been in today but the part never arrived.
Re-booked for next Friday instead.
No offer of a courtesy car but when asked they said that they could provide one but it would cost me £11.75! Apparently it's to cover the "insurance costs".
Well, I guess we'll see hat happens.....

As I've reported previously in recall Threads/posts, first time round my (1990 2.4 ssr) recall was done without any inducements (Fuel, Valet, Courtesy car) etc.

I'm not impressed by bul5h1t as long as they do a proper job n that's what I received ....

I am now awaiting a recall notice for my new Truck n am prepared to just get a good Job done .....

There's always a Payback .... Just don't expect any warning !!!!

Yeah i know but am always slightly worried when it comes to things like this, if its something that they are gonna begrudge doing, are they gonna do it properly, are they gonna do anything out of spite ??? stuff like that

Why would they begrudge doing it?, the dealerships are being paid to do the job by Toyota Japan, the more work they get at the moment the better for them and if they do a good job and impress you then you may well take it back to them for service and MOT, so they have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

ummmm the dealer gets paid by toyota uk to do it,i'm kinda lost the work is free,it costs you nothing,why not get it done?if they cock up you complain same as anything else

nope i think they used to,but not anymore,u wont go wrong with their parts tho,but my advice is do your research a little,somtimes yr local dealer will suprise you for prices

thanks, av kinda just got to a point now where i wanna get sumthin ordered, av bin chasing down +2" shocks for about a fortnight now, trying to find, best or cheapest or whatever, and these are sorta coming through the cheapest up to now, plus i havent heard no one say a bad word about them ...
