I'll give you dollars to donuts that the oil leak is the rocker cover gasket.

It's recently had a new cylinder head and rocker cover gasket fitted.

Toyota UK Tel 01737 367600, that will get you straight through , quote them your Vin/Chassis number and i had to tell them the recall notice number (SR60635) and they pass your details on to Toyota Japan, they will let you know by recorded delivery if it needs to be done. Don't let Toyota UK fob you off, it is a safety recall and they have to sort it at there expence.

Had my recall work done today, at Benfield Toyota Leeds, as usuall a list of faults reported.

                    Weak anti freeze, £72.00
                    Oil leak, rocker cover
Oil half way up dipstick ?????
                    N/S/F cv boot distorted £56.31
Play in front wheel bearings £55.01

                    Free wash & vac out

Drives OK, don't pull to left any more so I'm HAPPY
If it aint broke, keep goin' till it is.

£56 for a cv boot and it was only distorted which probably means its not split at all.

Yeah, no splits only fitted boot 18 months ago to get thru MOT a bit too small, but it did the job, got a spare Roughtrax one in the garage, may fit it this weekend. But £72.00 for a coolant change is far too rich for me, another job for Saturday afters.

Where does the oil come to on your dipstick?
