  • Any ideas gents

Whilst returning from a rather wet day in the lakes on Sunday that pretty little EMU check light lit up on the dash and the turbo cut out. Only lasted for a few moments and then returned to normal. At the time we were climbing quite a steep hill, but not hammering the old girl. It did the same thing for a few moments a few weeks back, when I was giving it a bit of hammer. Could this be a warning of things to come and if so what,

    Cheers guys, Spoggle

I had the same problem on mine gradually got worse and worse untill it would not run. Took me months to sort it, turned out to be a loose earth on the gearbox. It can just be accessed from under the drivers front wheel arch, you can get about a quarter turn at a time on it.

When the engine is under heavy load? Could just be the fuel filter needs changing. It goes into 'limp home' when its starved of fuel.

I think you need to speak to Rod Hull, he will be able to advise.

No I did'nt its real hard to get to espescialy if you have no body lift. But it is quite a big earth cable so easy to identify. If you climbe on top of the enging and look down the back I think its the left of the 2 top gearbox bolts.

At risk of repeating myself - check the fuel filter if you haven't done for a while.

You took that risk, and you did.
