  • So, So, Sorry But This Is Another Tyre Question!

I have just seen new 33x12.5x15's advertised on 8" rims. Is this okay? I thought the rims would have had to be 10s or 12s.

Won't the tyre bulge right out on 8" rims and wouldn't they be more prone to coming away from the rims when off roading?

If it's feasable could I put 33's on the rims that my 31's are on? (I will look tomorrow to see if there is any size stamped on my current wheels as it's pitch black at the minute).

Once again sorry for the 'numpty' question but I'm looking at all the options now.

They will fit OK on 8" rims as long as they're not aired down for off-roading.
Theres a few members on here that have done it, can't remember who though.
It's better to fit then to 10" wide rims.

You ask as many numpty questions as you like mate, they might answer some i have, i got a headache this morning looking at tyres and still dont know, those tyre sizes leave me bewildered, i had stickers on the inside of my rims which had the rim size on em, i'm sure they were 10x15 but may have been 8x15, i'll look em out and hopefully post and get the difinative answer,

Cheers guys! I live in hope that my rims are 10's (but I may chance 8's if I haven't got my wheels and tyres by mid November)!

          Oooooooooooo, I'm so impatient!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            Anyluck with Keef?!

I doubt yours are 10" mate from what i've seen.

8" are absolutly fine! Dont worry about running them on 8's. I'd be bl**dy shocked if anything happened.

Boyo ran 12.50's on a set of 7" wide rims an as far as im aware they never popped a bead .

My dear Watson, Listen up. That wheel spacer has holes with a PCD of 137mm. That means its got an o.d of not much over 150mm or 6". I therefore deduce that the tile its sitting on is a standard 12" tile. Looking at the wheel against the tile I,d have to say that, provided no trick photography has taken place, that My dear Watson is a 10" wheel. Its elementary.

                        Dammit, theres those wheels again!!

Ian, just looking at your hood scoop and bug deflector on the bonnet, It looks as though the intercooler is not getting the full force of air 'cos it's being deflected over it.

                        Just a thought.
