Anyone seen any oil temp senders that connect inline in 3/8" hose? I want to monitor temp of ATF coming out of the auxilliary cooler.

What an excellent idea!
I haven't checked my sender yet, but I have a feeling its a metric thread (M8 I think) - which is better for me as I have a set of metric taps.
I suppose I'll be wandering around the plumbing aisles of B&Q this weekend then...Cutting steps in the roof of the world

Flippin 'eck Vince. Talk about doing it the easy way!
I have just ordered some 3/8" barbed hose connectors threaded 3/8" BSP on the other end, an 1/8" NPT tap, and some brass bar to make the fitting out of. Just considering buying a 4 jaw independent chuck for the lathe too, so I can make it from square bar - which is more elegant...
Total cost (excluding the chuck!) - about a tenner. Satisfaction in doing it myself - pricelessCutting steps in the roof of the world
