To be honest, it sounds like they're hyping it up a tad. If you look at the basic suggestion there, that seems very similar to the was the Aussies do things, I believe. I think they have some type of test on any modifications or alterations.

well that one way of getting rid of over half the cars on british roads,does that include police cars,after all they didnt leave the factory with all those blue flashing lights did they.
does this mean the end of club track racing ? drag racing? rallying? as quite a few of these cars are driven to the events they must have a mot, all are heavily modified, i hope whoever makes the final decision realises the repercusions that would result from making the wrong one. even classic cars have to be modified to bring them into line with modern road requirements ie indicators for example, would this apply?

As far as I know, where vintage vehicles are concerned, they are still governed by the laws which were applicable when they were built, not necessarily what is applicable now.

What about when your parked i hear you say, well when the first crane gets to your car you know you need to go and move it while they're waiting for the 2nd and 3rd ones to arrive
