You forgot to tell him that his logo looks a bit garish though. Oops.

In a non joking way now though, the logo is a bit hard on the eyes Mark. Plus, I believe, with the peculiar colours picked, you might find someone with colour impairment could have problems actually seeing that correctly.

As has already been said, it's basic and the pics could be better but all in all a decent effort and at least it gets your message across. good luck with the business Mark.

I know that feeling well. The position I have my monitor in relevant to where I sit, I have to half stand up to check something properly before finishing it as it always looks darker from my normal sitting position.

think it need a lot doing to it.

I honestly wouldn't alter too much on it. The layout is pretty much the same across a range of browsers, so the basic layout is fine. Apart from just tweaking the CSS to get the alignment/padding and such a bit more screen friendly, the general overall effect is spot on.

The html code has a few minor errors, but they really are minor. Nothing that'll cause problems as such.

Picture wise, the way you've done it is the best methodology. Keep 'em small. I wouldn't try too much to get perfect picture quality. Best method is to use a jpeg with about 85% compression. Should stop any pixellation, (providing the original was good quality), and that compression ratio should also create a nice compact file size.

All in all Mark, it's a bl00dy good first attempt. My first attempt was nowhere near that.

Your styling says the body background is white. How were you checking it? Via the inbuilt preview function of an editor or via your web browser?
