Need some help, have posted before with bad starting and smoke on start up, After advice from garage saying possibly valve problems i decided to strip engine, On doing so i found the inlet manifold badly clogged with oil deposits and no valve clearance on my inlet valves, So i decided to rebuild the head, having it skimmed and pressure tested and relap valves into seats,, honed out liners and replaced piston rings , injectors tested , new glow plugs, air filter and fuel filter, egr mod carried out, and supply to plugs 10.75v, Car now running good no smoke on acceleration BUT still have black smoke on start up coughs and splutters but is perfect when warmed up, My question is this, is there anything else that will cause this problem on cold start up, Does the ecu have any control on cold starting by increasing its fuel??
