...an I still think the difference is negligible and will be lost in other ways such as bigger tyres, taller truck etc. Sorry.

If an elk (though I aint seen one round Malvern) or a sheep (slightly more likely) runs into my path I am gonna run the thing over rather than swerve into oncoming traffic.

If its person, then I will be doing 30mph or less (as its gonna be a built up area) and I'll slam on the brakes for all I'm worth. If I swerve I'm gonna be into the oncoming traffic / lamp post scenario, so a roll at 30mph will see me on my side as I hit the wall. None are a great outcome.

I cant help thinking that if you have to swerve violently enough to put your truck on your roof, then you weren't concentrating / going too fast for the road conditions / too close to whatever was obscuring the hazard.

I'm sure if you just knock a few mph off your speed and drive withing your / your vehicles limitations you'll be safer than the tw@t in the brand new unmodified X5 who thinks he's in the Dakar rally.

I'm totally with Andy on this one. Putting yourself in a situation where that might occur means you weren't scrutinising possible problems around you.

Also, simple physics states that if you try throwing a high sided two tonne vehicle from side to side at speed, it's gonna fly, no matter what it has got underneath.

I would think it would do so either with or without, although the characteristics would be different, as would the snap point. Personally, I'd prefer to take my chances with all four wheels maintaining traction and road contact for as long as possible any day of the week. However, unless the exact same test was conducted on the two, A.R.B's and none, the differences are an unknown.

There may of been one or two rollovers due to no ARBS on Surf's, Mine olden passed two Mot's with em off ... n No mention of em !!!!

Look around n you'll see shite loads of Ar$e's with arb's on obviously in place on there go faster motors n they'v ended up on their roofs !!!!!
If ya got a Surf with ARB's on or off ya not gonna chase round like a "Boy Racer" ..... enough said

There's always a Payback .... Ya just never see it comin tho !!!!

well there nearly off any way so i will let you all know what its like

but if an elk runs out in front of me i will let ya know how it handles

but in all honesty if anything runs out in front of me then i will not hit it trust me
if its a kid or animal i will die first
i brake for flying birds so that kinda gives you the picture

i dont swish about the road i just go off it
rather a hedge fence wall or a few small trees rather than hurt anything

but then again its about how ya think in in bad sitiutions

i dont do speed in my surf anyway 50 tops were its legal

Jeezus, the frame arms are bent to fawk!!

The adjuster cams should sit flush to the bit behind them.

You need a pickup or solid axle 1st gen if you going to beat it like that!!

I looked into it a bit back. You're looking at a minimum of around a grand and a half.

Buy a first gen or a pickup as Tony said, or pick your lines more carefully.

or it was the rsj i hit that was cut off at floor level

grand and a half aint that bad
its going to cost shed loads anyway to get it put right
