I really do hope some of your customers, or your employer, (whichever it may be), realise how shoddy and blatantly shocking your 'high tech' generated sh1te is. Really? (Yes, I am answering this final time despite my previous statement). Dinosaur sort of way? Since when is THE web standards consortiums own validator a dinosaur? Or are you referring to the fact that I did not manually specify a doctype, seeing as your code has no valid doctype set? Hell, set the doctype mate. It gets even worse then. 109 errors, or something thereabouts, I believe you will find.

Btw, my above statements all must be completely false, to be honest, as according to you, I know nothing of coding. Or does your statement above contradict your earlier statements? How could I know anything, as you suggest above?

Thought I would keep my mouth shut until I have subscribed, yes I know I have no blue star but I have just paid so no abuse pleases.

To my shame I have used this forum, and not subscribed but that has been down to procrastination.

Now I can take a pious (or is that prius ) attitude how about having a rank system for subscribers, like the RNLI the more you subscribe the higher the rank.

The highest rank in the RNLI is Governor which sounds ever so grand, then others would get to see what a good egg you are.

I'll be talking to the 'A' team about a possible fee for the Big Wales Weekend, as organisers of that and contributors to the forum, we could ask for a small fee for us running the trip that goes to the upkeep of the forum, and anyone else organising a big trip, in the same vein as RTTS, could do the same - a fiver per car isn't a lot of money, and 12 x £5 gives the forum £60 - do that 4 or 5 times a year for trips in Wales, Scotland, Ireland, South East, North East.....you get the idea....plus whatever goes to the forum from RTTS, you won't be far off £1000 for the year.

I am against charging for events .......i feel so strongly about this that if you do charge for any greenlane event i will withdraw from attending

It may be cutting my own nose off but as stated earlier in this thread , the plain runs cost me alot to put on , and i do it for the fun of it . And the pleasure of watching others enjoy them ..........And i enjoy attending other events.
AND Just because you have alot of disposeable income don't think we all have .......i have got to do alot of overtime to get the finances inplace to attend

Totally agree with Ian, i dont have a surf anymore i come on here for fun and to read interesting news and gossip, i have not paid for this year and hardly ever go into the tech bits anyway. But it does seem that people are getting quite upset upset. I will one day get another truck and will pay the subs again . Burt until then i hope to be able to browse most of the forum, if not then stuff the lot of yer (except the yeti cos i love him)....
