Good luck, they deserve a good shoeing.

I don't have experience of small claims but I've put a few construction adjudications together. Presentation and clarity are half the battle. For example:

1. I wanted an aftermarket winch bumper that would do x, y z.

2. I contacted 4x4rus, adress....., on xxx and stated my requirements were x, y z.

3. I traveled to 4x4rus on xxx and x, y, z was agreed and deleivery would be....

yada yada yada.

Basically build up a narrative and schedule events and costs. If I can help please ask, as it could have been me spending money there

Also, they're in the latest Total Off Road as supplying the winch plate on their Nissan. May be worth a letter there, but as they advertise don't hold your breath

Still not sure yet, i may be going to donny on the sunday, staying in leicester at my mates parents for a few days then going on to the CAR (car audio retailer) Expo - it's basically the car audio & security trade show.

Sorry to hear your haveing probs mate, as said, small claims court and a chat with a solicitor first maybe, i used to take non payers that route when i was self employed for ammounts like £25 on general pricsiple, why should the ba$tards get away with it, at least these guys have a "business address" and cant get lost (unlike my ebay seller), keep all corispondance records, phone, emails, letters, you should have a good result in the end, you still have the bumper i take it? good luck and keep us posted on the progress

Well well well I live in Donny so where is the show ? I will certainly come along with my able bodied assistant (6foot 4inch son with attitude!) is it at the racecourse ? and what date time etc ?

right the latest update ,spoke to one of the staff at 4x4rus think hes name is ian , said about money being returned etc got a cold shoulder and was told not to call him mate as i was no mate of he's and i should come down and talk face to face (bad attitude]

just got email from anne saying they will give me refund if i return bumper
they must be joking as i would not be very pleased if i got there and they said no refund
anyway for legal reasons i would not be able to do that ,as i would have no bumper on my return journey

ian did say that i had amended the bumper he had emails and pictures from off here sent by members right own up who as come round here and amended my bumper??barsteward you could have left it fixed after you took pics for ian

He was way wrong to ever send the bumper out in that state, but even then he could have redeemed himself by just giving you your money back and apologising for it being crap. I'm sure we'd all still consider using them if they'd treated you well, but after your experience, I doubt anyone with half a brain would touch them with a bargepole.

Why dont you email him the link to this thread? Might lubricate his wallet a little when he sees how many hits this site gets, and how many members there are.

the funny thing about this situation is that he thinks that there is nothing wrong with the bumper,
have joined elite ,difflock etc and if i dont get my cash soon will be joining landy sites where they do most of there business
i'd be very suprised if anyone on this site would buy from them after my and nero's experience with them
