picked up our new dog yesterday from wales. another rescue german shepherd dog, he's about 18months - 2 years old and very laid back. loves travelling in the surf ( which now has a few new scratches on the tailgate from big paws!)
i'll post up some pics when i can. his name is Luca (was Kruger but much discussion with family led to this being changed to save the nightmares!) and he's a long haired. very different to our old dog Max but just as much fun!!!
BTW, i ran 50/50 on veg oil and diesel to get there plodding along at 60-70mph and the tank was full when i left. when i got to Coedely in wales it5 was half way between quarter and half full. i then filled up with diesel and with the added weight of the dog and a 15kg bag of dog food i then put my foot down and was doing approx 75 - 80mph all way back. and when i got home i'd only used half tank. so with increased veg oil prices, i think i'm better off sticking to diesel. and i'd covered the same distance each way too - no diversions on way up or delays or anything that could use that much more fuel.
