Try putting your reg number in the compliance tester, and try reading about the weight limits they have set
Mine is petrol.....
But if I put in the details of my old diesel one it says:
"Not subject to LEZ - Based on the information you have entered and information held by Transport for London (TfL), the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) does not apply to this vehicle. As long as the vehicle remains not subject to the LEZ the daily charge does not have to be paid for this vehicle when it is used in the Zone."
It doesn't apply to cars, believe me, I have read all the stuff to make sure. It applies to vans and van/lorry based vehicles over 1.205 tons after 2010 but never cars.
Read the vehicle registration form and it clearly indicates it applies only to 'Goods Vehicles over 1.205 tonnes' Having spent a good while this afternoon reading about it i'm pretty convinced that as the rules stand it should not affect any surfs. Any issues will be due to mistakes on the vehicle registration documents when your vehicle was first imported.
Why is it saying mine does not comply after 2010 then? I pay normal RFL, nothing unusual on the v5...
I'm not 100% sure on that mate, does your reg document say surf on it?
a hilux (pickup) would fall foul of the regulations as it would be considered a goods vehicle and classified as a large van, being over the magic 1.205 tonne unladen. It cover's pretty much any and every van, wouldn't surprise me if even fiesta and corsa vans are heavier than that. Gonna have to go see if i can find out now.
This is what it said about mine so i take it ,it means after 2010

Emissions classification for these dates is based on the Vehicle Type and the age of the vehicle.
Non-compliant - Based on the information you have entered and information held by Transport for London (TfL), the vehicle is classified as not meeting the emission standards for the Low Emission Zone (LEZ).
While the vehicle is non-compliant, when it is used in the Zone the daily charge must be paid otherwise you will be liable for a penalty charge.

Read the difference in what it says for Rich's truck and Dave's and they're identical trucks (well they were (other than the colour) when they left the factory in 1994)
Richard's is "not subject to LEZ" - because it's a car not a van
Dave's is "non-compliant" - well just because it's dave's
