Fsnet & Orange are the same company.

    Your ISP is Orange.

Have a look at this link for some info on their spam filters. Click this link http://help.orange.co.uk/searchResults.do and search for kb2168, it'll give you some pointers. The URL is way too long to paste here.

      E-Mail Filtering

      I use and like Incredimail.
You can get a free version and that is what I use.
you can set up blocks , favourites etc etc etc.

Have a look and I think it will work for you as it does for me.

i payed about £25 for a 2 year licence from AVG and been using it now for about 4 years and never had a problem with it even with the free downloads. www.grisoft.com i use the disc also to load it onto other computers on the network so it works out cheap.I think you can get away with putting it on 3 different computers

Firstly, keep your business PC, Laptop and e-mail addresses separite from your family stuff.

Secondly, never ever let your children, their friends, your friends, your customers, anywhere near your business PC! Your business PC is just that, it's not a toy it's a tool.

Thirdly, set up a Yahoo or googlemail account for each of you for personal use. That way when one starts to be spammed you can dump the e-mail address and create another one (telling those who need to know the new address). These accounts can be used via your existing e-mail client.

Fourth. Get rid of Outlook Express! A couple of other e-mail clients have been mentioned. I use Eudora pro and Thunderbird. Both are a country mile better than Outlook, never mind Outlook Express.

Currently 90% of all e-mail sent worldwide is spam, you'll get caught sooner or later! I have my own domain with about 10 aliases set up, when mail reaches my e-mail client it's filtered, using filters I have set up, to either specific folders or the bin. I get around 300 e-mails a day, the filters sort out all but 10 or 20 of them. Setting up filters is easy, setting them up to work together takes some time, it's a work in progress I'm afraid.

If you're seriously as PC illiterate as you say, you really need to get a good IT bloke (or blokess) to set everything up for you and maintain it afterwards. And get yourself some IT/PC training!
Cheers Guys for the tips your right I am about as much use on the computer as an ashtray on a motorbike.

I have never been interested enough to get really involved with them.

The kids helped me set up on this site to begin with when I got the truck glad they did and I have been fuddling around ever since. I have an It chap coming round next week he's the guy who set up our website. So hope to get it sorted.

          Cheers for the suggestions.

It used to be full of spyware too, not sure if it's been sorted now though.
