Little garage that fitted matrix don't have a pressure device,
whats best option testing wise?
would a radiator place be able to do a test before I remove rad,
would it show a leak up as a stream of water jetting out somewhere,
or bubbles or something?

...still leaks but hey I tried
Check what price you can get the rad recored for, my local place is only £25 or so cheaper than a new rad from roughtrax.=========

I've not got a big soldering iron anymore to sort the leak out.
Certainly I can see water dribbling out from a tiny split in the front edge
With the break coming up after Christmas, if a removal of the rad' is easy, then I'll break out the spanners and take it off,
Sure I had a quote for about Eighty Quid a re-core, does that seem tooooooo high after all?

£80 is a good price for a recore, my local place wanted just short of £140, a new rad from roughtrax is £165 +VAT http://www.toyotahilux.com/?doc=11&cid=149 so for £80 i'd go for a recore, but if a recore was gonna be £140 i'd buy a new rad.
I haven't had the rad right out yet, but it's only nuts and bolts so not too bad a job=========
