Heres one without searchin for long

          http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GPS-RECEIVER-R...QQcmdZViewItem

That should come with its own soft Plug and play, and your mapping soft should detect it, i.e your navigation program should detect it

No probs but a stand alone system would work better, as in your pm.

Depending on your laptop - I think, the GPS settings in Memory Map if you use a USB GPS receiver may need some playing around - I think mine is set to COM 9...dunno.

                          Gps Software

If you have a garmin gps, you can download the latest version of mapsource for free from there website.

To interface most modern gps's to a laptop is pretty easy, if your gps has a usb cord its simply plug in and play.

Have a look at this link there's some basic info, technical, further links etc

I'm running memory map on a laptop with a garmin geko gps unit plugged in.

With this setup it will track & mark current position on the map as I drive.

Apart from the geko I needed the garmin data lead & usb-com port lead (got both of ebay for about £5 each).

If you do decide to go ahead and have any problems give me a call.

                              Garmin Gps Software

If Youve got a usb cord then all you need to do is download from the garmin website the enroute operating program which is free and run it through you laptop. It does current position, tracking etc
