Dieselboy the routes across from the Islands are pretty straight forward.

Even in the depth of winter up in the Highlands we rarley get very severe frost.

I lived in East anglia for 10 years and can remember there being much worse cold spells in the South East.

I hope next year to do the north run across Norway and along to Russia.
but sadly not on the Surf I will be taking the Kawasaki. So need tarmac.

Yes I know but it's the cost of fuel that prohibits me going by truck.

Unless you wanted a co driver to share the diesel and driving then i'd be interested.

      Cheers JB
sounds like a plan! whats in russia?

Guess who has the delights of Thameslink (or whatever they call themselves this week) next week just been and got me tickets, it's cost me more for 4 days on the train than it costs for 2 weeks by Hippo
it costs me £160 a calendar month for an oyster 'bl00dy' card. works out about "£32 per week which is about what i would use in juice to my old place, except i would have 1/4 -1/2 tank ish left over for each weekend but i dont have that now.
its a lot of money for a train, but saves wear and tear on the truck i suppose! i was doing oil changes every 2 months because of the mileage i was doing... i was claiming the tax back though and i cant do that now either :/
