Yes to a degree, but i like to be sure, if you pour it in and then leave the truck static it may be more of an issue

would you not get a better mix by pouring in the white spirit BEFORE the Veg Oil ? surely 30 + Litres of Veg descending on it must have a mixing effect ?

Yes it would do, but I like to see it first hand before it goes in, by all means go for it in any way you prefer, im just the cautious type, especially when recommending others to do stuff. Have you tried it yet?

drained the tank next day , fuel appeared to have mixed well with turps. startup seems to have lost that annoying tappet like rattle . other than that it seems fine , a bit better economy i think .

Can someone enlighten us on the legalities of mixing spirit-based additives to your fuel. I think it`s illegal. Petrol, on the other-hand is definately legal! (People have been using it to lower vegoil viscocity for years- 5-10% mix).

Under 5% is classed as an additive and doesnt constitute a fuel. Correct me if im wrong, and if illegal, topgear would be unable to televise it.

Nope just less side effects than too much oil. I am now currently on 750ml per 10 litres of oil. Remember thats with diesel, you wont get away without diesel in there too. I know stormy is doing 50/50 diesel - veg/ws mix. work it up from there until you get the lumpy's again

mine is running fine with the mix.i can't give mpg as i have got 33's on and i won't have a correct mpg reading

Just an update on the 50/50 mix i tried.The truck certainly started and ran better.
Just to test out straight veg oil again i put in 20l and i could tell the difference almost straight away.There was a bit more smoke on start up and lumpier on tick over so i will be definately be running with the white spirit mixed in in future
