Started the job tonight. I need to remove the resonator box in between the inner and outer wing...

Taking off the plastic wheel arch liner, there are mainly screws, but two of them are rivits. I take it I have to drill these out?

Also, it looks like I've got to take the fibreglass arch extension off.

Have cut the big outer hole, and pilot drilled the mounting holes, I take it it's wing off time now so I can get at the inner wing to cut that?

          Yeah, that looks possible...

I'll deal with the outer first! Everything lines up so far though which is half the battle! Gotta do it before the weekend, cos thats when we're welding up the new bumper side panel exit exhaust

Nah, just give 'em a quarter turn and they should drop out.

Wonder if he's outside now actually trying to give 'em a quarter turn.

Oddly enough, no. They didn't look like a DZUS fastener, so I figure they need brute force or drilling. Matt mate, I'm an engineer...

As one could tell by the: 'I take it I have to drill these out?' question.

                      Smartass

You misread me. I was wondering, as they are attached to the arch extension via small brackets, if I take the extension off, will the arch liner come with it - or do the rivits go into the metalwork like the screws - so there!

Sorry. What was the question again?

Yup. Remove 'em. They're taking the place of the flare fixing screws.
