Ok so i pour 20 litres of Makro finest in for a tenner and then with a smug grin on my saving drive to my local Shell where proper diesel is only 94p - as i pull in i can't help but notice a rather attractive young lady filling up her car wearing rather little clothing, still keeping an eye on her to make sure she is ok i start filling up my surf. Looking at the money ticking over i stop when i get to £25 and then notice i havn't got anywhere near the litres i should have. AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH H i've just used the only pump which sells "V POWER DIESEL" for a whopping £1.09 per litre. I've learnt my lesson, when it comes to saving money keep an eye off the ladies

what i wanna know is, what the hell is V power ??!! someone at least tell me it's worth it, i'm living life on the edge here, Mrs B has just read my post !:

There's a guy on a caravanning forum I use that's in the petroleum industry and he's quite adamant that V Power and the like are actually worth the extra money as they do actually improve your fuel consumption, run cleaner and produce more power.

My mate has just done that last week. Put £60 worth into his 2 month old Ford S-Max Luckily he never started it. 3 of us got free petrol.

well all i can think is that they must be a lower octane that will make the fuel ignite sooner.
its the opposite to petrol where they like a higher octane so they can burn longer...
but if it was a higher octane i think it would be like what happens when you put veg oil in, but i dunno.

the way i see it is if you had a scale, and natural fuel gas is at the top (low octane) you would have then petrol, V petrol, V diesel, Diesel, Veg oil,
you might have counteracted the power loss from veg oil though

oh we used to know a couple of essex girls hehe.. their whole attitude/the way they see things is mad. we were over there every other night at one point. done over £300 on fuel one week, and just over 1000 miles!
