You can sort out a 4" lift and 33" tyres for just under a grand mate! £2000 is a great price for the quality of LAsupertrux! But If your looking to keep to a budget then a 2" body lift, 2" coil spacers, and if you offroad, a set of +2" shocks!

you can get some large remould tyres for about £300 ish for 5!

Having a big truck dont always been a big budget!

nice one mate the only problem i have is mine is an import and i think its been lowered it also has a kit i wont be doing any serious offroading the occasional wet campsite but i wont it to look the part and i think the shocks etc are goosed as if i hit a pothole i nearly break my sppine hense the lift etc when it needs doing

is the grand parts only as i have a mechanic mate who owes be a few favours also have access to a body shop if anything needs reshaping

              cheers

If your surf is lowered it could cost more perhaps to rectify it back to stock, but its not impossible!! Im sure the more experianced members could inform you on costs of returning to stock from lowering.

But what i know is that 4crawler spacers are about £60 delivered, once you have them that gives a 2" lift at the back, turn the torsion bar bolts a bit an that will give you a 2" at he front! If you wanna go higher, then more suspension kit gets mega dosh! but a body lift kit is available from a member here "jotto" Its £85 inc del!

then just get some larger tyres to suit etc! and your well away!

returning to stock might not be very expensive!

If your not offroading then a few hundred will sort your truck out properly mate!

If MPG concerns you then just return to stock plus 2"! Get some 16" alloys, an fit 265/75r16 BFG AT/colway AT's too it! An your well away! nice n beefy! an not too much for a 2.4 or 3.0 to handle!

cheers mate i dont suppose you have a pick of such a truck

or any idea on the cheapest way of leaving as is but replacing the shocks or coils whatever is making the ride so harsh

                  cheers jon

                      i like

ive been looking at the light pods myself was it easy to fit i will post some pics of my truck tomoz open for debate with or without lift

i do alot of road miles so im now thinking that replacing the shocks may be a better idea for now anyway as i have not long since spent a small fortune on new tyres

                      cheers mate

but replacing the shocks opens up the can of worms how do i find out if the ones that are currently fitted are stock or lowered and is the shocks that will improve the ride seems to sit a bit lower at the back if that helps

                        cheers

Mine has a 2" suspension lift and a 3" body lift the front mudflaps still catch on the wheels so i removed them. look for some 2" uprated springs and get some pro comp shocks front and back. crank the torsion bars and away you go! then its the body lift kit.

www.gearedtogo.co.uk and ask for stuart, or contact TonyN on this site, or do a google for explorer pro comp, n find there website, Shocks about about £35 a corner! ES3000 gives a lighter ride in comparision with the ES9000
