i don't stand mine upright as most of the airflow comes from the base, i also heard the the early ones were more likely to fail (late 05-early 06)

Mine has broken twice apparently the overheating causes the lead free solder to break down. For more info on this check the xbox forums there are lots of threads on this subject.

there is a lot more you can do with them aswel. play .avi files and stream from your pc (or to the pc cant remember -friend is hooked)
i personally have a ps2. its not chipped and has never been taken apart, but i can play copied/downloaded games, watch films in .avi format, play .mp3's, view digital photo albums. i think there is a program i can download to use the internet but no point since i have a pc..
        the USB ports are handy
        Oh Nana, what's my name?

Pretty much anything causes the lead free cr@p to play up. It's nowhere near as reliable as it's predecessor. Solder joints do eventually crack/crystallise when subjected to heat over periods of time.

Just tried the towel fix for the xbox and it worked. Everything seems to be working ok now. If anyone wants to add me to their friends list gamertag is almost same as forum name. leodisxxx

WARNING, if you mod your xbox360, you have very little chance of logging on to xbox live.
