i agree, take it back.

i bought a cheep 8 man tent fron aldi, about £70. never let any water in at all and that was camped at the bottom of ben nevis in real rain.

the zip burst though, but hey, £2 worth of safety pins sorted that, and i was still dry.

I dont think I could of made that much water


Found out its a 1200HH (hydrostatic head is the measure of waterproofing a tent has) and 1500 is regarded as the minimum, 2,000 or 3,000 being what the average decent quality tent has these days. So no wonder it leaked so badly, I just don't think it's designed for the UK market.

Have a look at Vango tents. They are the best single skin tents for keeping the wet out that I've used.

What's a single skin tent?

Khyam tents sound good as they are meant to be quick to put up.

We would need a 8 man tent btw
