  • 1 1/2 inch body lift

hello all l just need a little info.

I am doing a 1 1/2" inch body lift at weekend, is there anything i need to do to the truck, IE cut or file out round the steering where is comes in on the bulkhead or where the gear selector is. I was hoping not to have to do this but will if i have too.

    thanks all for your time

I'd be interested in the answer to this, as I'm getting the same done (but Vatchman and The Lovely Boyo are doing it )
Too old to care, young enough to remember

on the 2" bodylift you should need to, but it might be touch and go whether or not it will need doing with the 1.5" lift.
I have to do the hi/lo ratio yet on mine but we never done the bulkhead and it seems to be ok at the mo

may well be worth while filing out the bottom of the hole in the bulkhead before you start, it would be easier to do before the lift. i have to cut some out of mine but as lift is allready done its a bit tricky trying to get anything in there to do it

Fit the body lift blocks to the drivers side first.

just had a look and the steering column is rubbing on the bottom of the hole in the bulkhead and the rubber grommit is inside resting against the bulkhead

just been out and sorted mine, there is an easy way round it.
the panel the shaft passes through is a small one bolted to the bulkhead, five bolts, i took that off and drilled out the holes 2 mm bigger that allows you to replace the panel lower down

I did a 1 1/2 lift conversion on my 3.0ltr from Milners. The only thing I had to do was remount the front bumper and rad surround.

all i done on my 3.0 was remove the lower section of the rad surround. The bumper brackets and rad lowering brackets came in the kit from Danno/Jotto which i think would work out cheaper than milners in the long run as theirs are £55 +p&p + vat and you dont get the bumper brackets or the rad brackets to lower the rad in a 2.4
