I would say by the mileage that it's in Km's. An easy way to check is to travel a certain distance that you know and see what it reads. So a mile down the road will show 1.6 on the trip meter.

I don't know whether it has an intercooler on either. There is nothing above the rocker cover or an intake on the bonnet so i presume it is just a 3 litre turbo diesel. Forgive my ignorance

It was made in 1997. To open the boot you first have to open the the swingaway wheel carrier. The boot the opens out to the right in one and as far as I am aware does not split, although the rear window may wind down.

Ahhh so there is something Toyota Mr2ish about a 3rd gen then. It doesn't have hair driers fitted but it will do a cracking blue rinse. After all the pee taking please fell free to answer my queries
